How to use timeOS?

timeOS is the fastest meeting notes experience ever built. With timeOS you can quickly jump to your next meeting and instantly capture meeting notes directly to Notion.

Setting up your Notion integration

  1. Duplicate timeOS Template into your workspace
  2. Sign in with your Notion account
  3. Select the timeOS Database Template from the list
  4. Make sure not the rename the database, and it might cause an error.

Setting up Notion Auto-sync

Toggle on Sync with Notion and all meeting notes will automatically sync, organized, and tag directly to your timeOS database.

Setting up desktop notifications

timeOS has desktop notifications via Chrome you can set up in "System Preferences." Please set Chrome Notifications to "Alerts" to stay on-screen until dismissed.

Meeting Reminders

We want to make sure you’ll never miss a meeting and finish them on time. With timeOS, we introduce the smartest meeting reminders ever built.

  • 1 minute before your meeting, you’ll receive a reminder to join the session.
  • Need another minute to wrap up? No worries….You can auto-join right at it starts.
  • And a final big time-saver is runover reminders. timeOS will notify you 5 minutes before the end of your meeting to help you finish on time.

Meeting Note commands

  • Type [] to create a to-do checkbox. (There's no space in between.)
  • Type # followed by space to create an H1 heading.
  • Type ## followed by space to create an H2 sub-heading.
  • Type ### followed by space to create an H3 sub-heading.
  • Type *-, or + followed by space to create a bulleted list.
  • Type 1.followed by space to create a numbered list.
  • Type > followed by space to create a quote block.
  • Press esc to go back to New Tab

How can I connect multiple calendars to timeOS?

For the first version you can connect one calendar account to timeOS. We will fetch only events from your primary calendar without sub-calendars and subscribe calendar. We are working on multiple calendar accounts support.

Should I do anything to update an extension to the newest version?
  • No, this happens automatically.
Where do my notes go when I export them to Notion?
  • To your Magical’s timeOS database. Ensure that you do not rename your database name and properties to prevent export errors.
Can I export notes to a specific database in Notion?

Currently you can export notes only to the official Magical’s timeOS database. In Notion you can link your meeting notes to other databases using the Linked Database feature.

How do I auto-export notes to my Notion database?
  • Using the Preferences Menu (⚙️ button), you can toggle the Sync meeting notes to Notion option.
What events timeOS will notify me about?

To avoid spammy notifications, timeOS will remind you only for events with participants and VC link/location attached. Customization options will come soon!

Can I turn meeting reminders sounds off?
  • Yes! You can also toggle if sounds will be heard or not using the Preferences Menu (⚙️ button)

Will it be available on other browsers?
  • timeOS is currently only on Chrome and chromium based browsers such as Arc.
Logging out or uninstalling the timeOS extension
  • To log out of timeOS:
    1. Click on the Gear Icon found on the upper left-hand corner of your screen. This will open our reference window.
    2. Click on Log Out found on the bottom left-hand corner of the settings window. This will log you out of timeOS.
I no longer want to use timeOS
  • You can simply log out of timeOS to stop using timeOS. We would love to hear your feedback by emailing hey@magical.team.

  • To remove the Chrome Extension from your browser:
    1. Find the timeOS icon located to the right of the address bar in your web browser.
    2. Right-click on the Icon.
    3. Select Remove From Chrome from the menu.
    4. Click on the Remove button to confirm that you'd like to remove timeOS.
    5. If you'd like for us to remove the information saved in your account or cancel your subscription, email us at hey@magical.team to request that we suspend your timeOS account.
